By the third day, Billy reached the foot of the Blue Mountains. His arms were tired, and his little black nose was dusty. He climbed a tall, ancient tree and, right at the very top, he saw it: a single leaf glowing bright yellow against the setting sun. He reached out, plucked it, and took a big bite.
