Instead of purchasing a license key, you can download the full version directly from the Broadcom Support Portal .

: During installation, you will be prompted for a license key. You can simply select the option for Personal Use to unlock the full features without a key.

Visit the Broadcom Support Portal and register for a basic account. Log in and navigate to the section. Search for "VMware Workstation Pro" .

: The free model applies to Workstation Pro version 17.5.2 and higher. Older versions (back to version 15) are also available for free download through the portal.

Select the edition or the standard installer; both use the same binaries. Accept the terms and conditions to start the download. Commercial Users

While originally free only for personal use, Broadcom expanded the free offer to in late 2024. If you are under a current commercial contract, your existing agreement and support level will remain in effect until the end of its term.
