Before you run that setup file, make sure your environment is ready to avoid common installation hurdles:

You cannot run ArcGIS Server without a valid license file ( .prvc or .ecp ). You should generate this from the same portal before you begin the installation.

: In My Esri, go to Licensing > Start Licensing .

: Choose the version you need (e.g., 12.0 or 11.4 ) and click View Downloads .

: Go to the Downloads tab and select ArcGIS Enterprise .

: Choose your specific server roles, such as ArcGIS GIS Server Advanced or Standard.

: Verify your hardware and OS meet the Windows or Linux requirements.

: Select ArcGIS Enterprise , your version, and the ArcGIS Server license type.
