Lake Russell , also known as Richard B. Russell Lake , is a 26,650-acre reservoir on the Savannah River bordering Georgia and South Carolina. It is highly regarded for its "mature" or well-established fishery, primarily due to the abundance of submerged standing timber and an undeveloped shoreline that offers a remote experience.
