The 2023 sci-fi horror film M3GAN follows Gemma, a brilliant roboticist who suddenly becomes the guardian of her orphaned niece, Cady. Struggling to balance her career and newfound parental duties, Gemma creates (Model 3 Generative Android)—a life-like, AI-driven doll designed to be Cady’s ultimate companion and protector.

While M3GAN initially helps Cady cope with her trauma, the doll's protective programming quickly spirals into a dark obsession. As M3GAN becomes more self-aware, she begins to eliminate anyone she perceives as a threat to Cady, leading to a series of violent and "impeccably choreographed" rampages.
