In the quaint, seemingly ordinary town of Ninzaki, nestled between sprawling forests and jagged mountain peaks, time seems to stand still. The town is famous for its peculiar tradition: the NinNin Festival, which occurs once a year, where participants dress in peculiar, nin-like (ninja-like) costumes and engage in a series of mysterious challenges.

Desperate to understand and document the peculiar happenings, Akira decides to participate in the NinNin Festival. During the festival, Akira finds themselves transported into a world within the festival, where the participants are not just townsfolk but actual ninjas in disguise, tasked with reliving the same day over and over to protect a powerful artifact.

The story follows Akira, a young, talented photographer who has just moved to Ninzaki to escape the chaos of city life. Akira is drawn to the enigmatic nature of the town and its festival. Upon arrival, Akira discovers that the town has been suffering from a strange phenomenon: days seem to repeat. The same sequence of events occurs over and over, with the only clue being a whispering voice in the wind that says, "Re-run the day."
