Pact — Pregnancy

: In June 2008, Time magazine reported that 17 girls at Gloucester High School had made a secret "pact" to get pregnant and raise their babies together.

: Subsequent investigations by the school committee and local officials found no evidence of a planned "blood-oath" . While there was a spike in pregnancies that year, many of the girls involved denied any pact ever existed, though some noted they became closer to support each other after becoming pregnant.
