Avoid placing the detector behind dark window tint, metal sunscreens, or windshield wipers, as these can block radar/laser signals.
Place the detector as high as possible on the windshield, usually near the rearview mirror, to ensure a clear view of the road ahead.
Mount it completely level (parallel to the road) for the best performance and to ensure the compass functions correctly.
