An old battery (typically 3–5 years) or a struggling alternator can cause persistent low-voltage issues. Troubleshooting & Fixes

If you replace the battery, the Battery Management System (BMS) must be reset using a diagnostic tool so the car recognizes the new battery and manages its charging profile correctly.

This is the most frequent culprit. Even if the car starts, a battery that is aging or has low charge will trigger this warning much sooner than expected.

Ensure the alternator is hitting approximately 14V14 cap V

This warning typically appears when you are using electrical components—like the touch screen, radio, or interior lights—while the engine is off. Because the alternator is not running to charge the battery, the BMS monitors the voltage and forces a shutdown if it drops below a specific threshold to ensure there is enough power left to start the engine.
