The story follows the soul of Bangarraju (Nagarjuna), a flirtatious zamindar who is sent back to earth by Lord Yama . His mission is to reconcile his son, Ramu (also Nagarjuna), and his daughter-in-law, Seetha , who are on the verge of divorce. While on earth, Bangarraju also uncovers the mystery behind his own death and its connection to a local temple.
